Please forgive me (open to all)

Jordyn slammed her cell down on the table and fell back, into the couch in front of the fire, "I can't believe he called Mom and Dad! How dare he try to get back in my life now! Does he honestly think I'll forgive him for all the hurt he's caused me?" Despite her best effort, tears flowed down Jordyn's cheeks. "And what possessed them to give him my number? They know that he's the LAST person I'd ever want to talk to!" Jordyn desperately wanted to hit something. She looked around, but all she could find were pillows, which weren't satisfying enough.

Instead, she pulled out her journal and poured her soul into it, not to mention dampening the pages with her tears. After writing a few pages of her innermost thoughts and feelings about her biological father, Jordyn put her journal back into her backpack and laid down on the couch, tears soaking into the pillow on which she laid her head.

(ooc: Here's my guy character Carlisle, he's really friendly so maybe he can help, if not, let me know and I'll have him disappear lol)

Carlisle shook his head as he slowly entered the Ravenclaw Common Room. It was silent and after a long morning of dealing with immature classmates and a long exam in Ancient Runes, he was ready to go down to the Great Hall and have some lunch.

He let out a grunt as he walked upstairs to his dormitory and threw his books down on his bed. He then turned on his heel and made his down the stairs once more. He was making his way across the common room when he heard sniffing sounds coming from the couch. He raised an eyebrow as he slowly tiptoed around the couch and his eyes went wide at the sight. There was a girl laying there crying.

"Excuse me, but are you alright?" Carlisle asked quietly not wanting to startle her.

[Laura]

(ooc: that's why I made the thread, to see if anyone would come to my... er, Jordyn's rescue. Whether he'll be able to really DO anything about it, except talk to her and listen... after getting her to open up. Let's see how long that takes, shall we? ;D)

Jordyn opened her red and puffy eyes to see a boy standing in front of her. "Uh... yeah, I'm *sniff* alright," Jordyn lied. She wiped her tears with her left hand. "My name's Jordyn," Jordyn stood and offered her other hand to the boy, smiling weakly.

Carlisle raised another eyebrow as he reached over and placed his hand in hers. He then shook it very lightly and gently not wanting to scare her anymore.

"Hi Jordyn, I'm Carlisle. Are you sure you're okay? You look like you've been crying. Do you want to talk about it?" he asked her quietly.

[Laura]

"I... I can't burden you with my problems," Jordyn said at first, expecting to keep her troubles to herself. "It's just that..." she couldn't help it. She felt that if she didn't talk to anyone soon, she'd explode. "I feel... unloved," she said plainly, "but then, he wants me back in his life?" she mumbled the last part. Her emotions and ability to make a decision was even more messed up than usual. "It's a long story; I'm sure you don't want to hear it."

[Katie]

Carlisle nodded. "You don't have to tell me anything you don't want to. What do you mean you feel unloved? I'm sure that's not true. What about your family? Your friends? Trust me, it's not healthy to bottle your feelings up until you explode. My friend Kara does that and when she explodes, she really explodes. It's not a good idea. I'll be happy to help if you need some advice. But it is your decision." He replied.

[Laura]

"Oh, believe me," Jordyn said matter-of-factly, "I'm unloved." Carlisle's right; Jordyn decides she can't hold it in any longer, "Let's see, first my biological dad turns abusive. Then my mom says we're gonna run away and live a new life, just the two of is, but she dumps me at an orphanage. My adoptive parents only adopted me because they couldn't have a child of their own, but now they have one, so... they don't need me any more. My best, and pretty much only, friend turned on me. My boyfriend dumped me..." Tears started streaming down her face again.

"I was hoping that when I got accepted to Hogwarts, I could start a new life, a better life, but... my biological father just called me... I hadn't talked to him since I was 9, and I was alright with that. He wants me to forgive him, but... I don't think I can." Jordy grabs a pillow and hugs it tight, tears soaking into the fabric.

[Katie]

(ooc: wow! okay I've dealt with abuse before so I'm glad Carlisle can help her)

Carlisle's eyes had gone wide during his story. "Gods Jordyn I am so sorry that you've been dealing with this ever since you were younger. But know this, abuse is never okay. Abuse of any kind is wrong and is punishable. Have you turned him in?"

"And about your adopted family, you know what I think? They are not worth your thoughts or tears anymore. Your mother can go to hell too. You can overcome everything that you've been through. Times will get better, I promise you that. You are completely safe at Hogwarts. I just think that you need some girlfriends and you'll soon find who you truly are. You don't need negative people or thoughts in your life. So move on, yes it will take time, but daily tel lyourself that you can do anything you want and be anything you want to be. Trust me, it really does work." He said.

"And about your biological father, of course you're going to be skeptical. That's your decision, but chances are slim that he has fully changed. But maybe you could meet up with him. Bring someone you trust with you and see for yourself. That is your decision, not anyone else. Turst your gut and your heart. Just be careful." he warned her.

Jordyn was happy to see that someone cared, "Well, my mom turned him in, but I was mad at her at the time she wanted me to testify, so I didn't say anything. He got two years for abusing her." She stopped. "Why didn't I say anything?" she mumbled to herself. "If I had just told my story, that son of a..." *ehem* "he would have been put away for a lot longer! Man, I can't do anything right," she scolded herself.

"No, please don't say that. I would never wish that on anyone. I mean, I guess I'm making it out to be something it's not. I don't really have proof that they don't want me anymore. I mean, they haven't said they don't want me anymore... actually, it was my ex-bestie that told me that. It's just that... they pay much more attention to what Adrian, their real son, wants then what I want. We share a birthday, and it's always 'What do you want to do for your birthday, Adrian?' I mean, they recognize that it's my birthday too, and they wish me a happy birthday and get me stuff... we just celebrate it however Adrian wants to, which I guess is because he's the youngest," Jordyn felt bad that she was complaining about the parents that rescued her from that place they dare call a 'loving' orphanage.

"You're right about my... those people," she said, referring to her biological parents. "I'm not sure what to do about him calling me. I don't really want to see him, but... I may need to. Just so I can finally get some answers." Jordyn had stopped crying and was calmer than when Carlisle had started talking to her. "Thank you so much for talking to me. Yeah, maybe it'll be better when I have some friends here."

[Katie]

Carlisle nodded at her last statement. "Like I said before, do what you want to do. But maybe you would feel better letting him know how horrible he was to you. Provide closure, or something like that. And your welcome. No need to thank me. I'm glad I can help someone out. Yeah just gather up some courage and meet people. Have you met Kara yet? Bright red hair? You can't really miss her." Carlisle asked with a laugh.

(ooc: did you mean you personally had experience with abuse? If so, I'm sorry. This is a very touchy subject I'm hitting on. Idk if I really should... not that I can really take it back now. hehe)

"Yeah, she's nice," Jordyn smiled. "Her, Ethan, Erik, and Cassidy welcomed me at their table in the Great Hall, right before HE called and I had to leave so no one would see me blow up at him. I told him off, but I didn't really listen to his side of the story. Maybe he did have some kinda reason for it all. Albeit, it would have to be a very twisted one," she didn't know whether to hate him or give him another chance.

(ooc: Unfortunately yes I have dealt with abuse, but it's okay. It was about 5 years ago and I am okay to talk about it. I am even writing a story based on abuse. Ask Desi, she'll back me up lol. No worries.)

Carlisle smiled. "Oh so you met Kara already? That's good, she's a really good friend. She'll talk to you anytime and hang out with you. Oh you met Ethan too? Did you see them both together? I haven't met him yet and he's dating Kara. Sorry, I'm just protective of her." He replied with a sheepish look on his face.

"And don't worry about leaving. They'll understand. If you want to hear his side, you certainly can. But talk to him or meet him in a very public place with someone you know if you want to. And yes you are right, it would be twisted. Just be careful." he said to her finding himself caring about her like a friend would.

[Laura]

"Aww, that's sweet that you watch out for Kara like that," Jordyn smiled. "Yeah, they were eating in the Great Hall. He didn't say much, but he seemed nice," she reassured Carlisle.

"I'll remember that," Jordyn replied when Carlisle told her to make sure to be in a public place with someone else when talking to her father. She still wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle seeing him again, but she was glad she finally shared her story with someone... a new friend, she hoped while smiling at Carlisle.

Carlisle saw her smiling at him and he grinned at her playfully.

"That's good because Kara is like my sister. So I'm glad that he seems decent. Like I said Kara's family situation is a bit sticky. Yes a public place would probably be the best if you want to be safe." He replied.

"Are you feeling a little better now?" He asked curiously.
